‘Vivid’ Article Design

This is a fictitious article on the Vivid Sydney Music Festival, 2011. It includes images of the artists that performed that year.

After reading about Vivid on their website, I decided I wanted to create a design that echoed the look and feel of the festival. I wanted it to be dark to represent that night time atmosphere, with bright and colourful images to stand out against the background and look like the light shows at the festival. I also wanted to add some sort of rigidness to the design, to replicated the different buildings and architecture that were lit up during the night of the festival. On their website they used little ‘L’ brackets on images and text, so I wanted to also incorporate those into my design.
